Yelp & Austin Music Foundation 11.7.13

SnapFiesta traveled to Austin, Texas once again to help Yelp and the Austin Music Foundation! Yelp users were invited to Speakeasy for Yelp’s Golden Age party to raise money for the Austin Music Foundation.

Yelpers were treated to and evening of live music, food, drinks, and more! Ladies were able to have their makeup done by Hint of Shimmer’s expert artists, hair and was perfectly styled by Benjamin Beau Salon. Gentlemen were given oiled bears and waxed mustaches by Bearded Bastard, and  even Sephora lent a hand to make sure not a lip in the house was untouched.

Overall, the event raised over $2,000 for the Austin Music Foundation!

Black Sabbath, KLBJ 40th Anniversary Show

SnapFiesta traveled to Austin, Texas for the Black Sabbath, KLBJ 40th anniversary show at the Frank Erwin Center. Blue Moon beer and South Point Nissan sponsored the event in celebration of Austin’s KLBJ-FM radio station. Along with the awesome tunes of Black Sabbath, guests got to rock out to Andrew WK, received complimentary drinks, and even food from Maria’s Taco Xpress! Guests were also able to take photobooth pictures at our photobooth! Congrats to KLBJ-FM for providing Austin with 40 years of music, here’s to another 40 more!

Tyler’s Dam That Cancer w/ Flatwater Foundation

SnapFiesta‘s growing presence in the Austin, TX party scene took us to The Flatwater Foundation‘s fourth annual Tyler Dam That Cancer sport fundraiser. Participating individuals committed to an 8-hour, 21-mile stand-up paddle along the entire length of Lake Austin, from the Mansfield to Tom Miller Dams, raising over $1,500 each for their dedicated efforts. Proceeds went toward the non-profit’s mission to provide access to mental health support and services for those affected by cancer. It was a fantastic summer day under the sun for folks to come out and support the select group of 100 paddlers as they made their way to the Hula Hut party at the finish line.

Kentucky Derby Part @ Trifecta on 3rd Austin, TX

Our Austin Photo Booth opened the beginning of May this year with Trifecta on 3rd, a premiere bourbon bar in our latest market, Austin, at their second annual Kentucky Derby Party. The racing excitement was palpable as attendants arrived in a variety of show-stealing hats and their best derby attire. In addition to enjoying the main event with hot brown sandwiches and complimentary Mint Juleps in hand,the first 16 teams on the scene also got a chance to compete in the annual Bean Bag Tournament. Prizes were awarded to the last 3 teams standing, but in our humble opinion, all the fabulous fashionistas that stopped by our photo booth dressed to impress were winners that day!

SxSW 2013: Austin Photobooth by SnapFiesta is here!

SnapFiesta is now officially an Austin photobooth company!  SnapFiesta works on the edge of emerging technologies to provide professional photo booth experiences and deliver high-quality photography services. In this way, we fit right in at South By Southwest (SXSW) with our 2013 festival clients: Harvard Alumni Association, Plympton Publishing, and Mashable. All three events gathered thinkers and innovators from the digital and technological fields for networking and an all-around good time.  After our second year of being called in to shoot, we decided to stay, and make Austin our new home.

Our photo booth captured fun snapshots of over 250 of Harvard’s alumni, faculty, and guests at the university’s second annual Digital Harvard celebration at Icenhaur’s, an event venue in Austin with enough of its own history to keep up the university’s legacy. Notably, Chief Digital Officer Perry Hewitt made opening remarks and introduced David Malan, a senior lecturer within Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences – just one of the eight Harvard schools represented at the event. SnapFiesta is honored to have been in attendance at the conference, a lively celebration of technological entrepreneurship.

At this year’s festival, we were in the midst of attendees that were applying technology to revolutionize not only college education and the entrepreneurial world, but also the world of storytelling. We kept the good times rolling in Austin with Plympton Publishing, a finalist of the SXSW Accelerator 2013 competition in the Entertainment and Gaming Technology category and host of the Story Strikes Back party at Lamberts. Serial fiction on a digital platform is the main draw of Plympton Publishing’s web-based products and it was easy to see their creative juices at work when guests stepped in front of our cameras.

They weren’t the only writers that knew how to kick back, all smiles in SnapFiesta’s photo studios. We also found ourselves at the Palm Door with Mashable for their Awesomest Journalism Party. Ever., which was where “Journalism x Technology @ SXSW”. The shindig featured awesome journalists, awesome Texan food and beer, and SnapFiesta’s awesome open-set photo booth. It was definitely one 2013 SXSW event not to miss, so we didn’t.
