SFMOMA 2013 Art Auction w/ Porsche

SFMOMA‘s biennial Art Auction fundraiser came around this year just in time before the museum closed for 2+ years of hiatus for renovations. The event was sponsored this year by Northern California Porsche DealersAT&T, Deloitte, and Webcor Builders, and was highlighted by pieces from such renowned artists as Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, and Garry Winogrand. In light of the museum’s upcoming expansion plans, the community value of the fundraiser was particularly significant this year. In addition to the traditional presentation of gourmet food, champagne, and cocktails, San Francisco’s very own indie rock band Geographer was invited to add, for the first time, a live musical performance to the evening. Guests enjoyed all that and more as both silent and live auctions were held, hosted by Patrick Meade from Bonhams Auctioneers & Appraisers, and our photo booth gave attendants a rare opportunity to have a professional portrait taken with an actual Porsche, casually in the background.
